Altesino Brunello di Montalcino 2017
Sangiovese from Montalcino, Tuscany, Italy
Winemaker Notes
Brilliant ruby-red color, this classic Rosso offers sumptuous aromas of ripened blackberries and dark cherries. On the palate, the wine is generously well-rounded and rich with fruit-forward notes complimented by hints of leather and mesquite.
James Suckling – 95 Points
A concentrated bead of blackberries and minerals pervades the nose and palate. Medium-to full-bodied with well-integrated tannins and a balanced finish. Tight and very focused. Classic Brunello for the vintage.
Food Pairing
Pairs well with stewed and braised game dishes, with wild boar, guinea fowl, or duck, but also roast veal and pork.
